Notre Dame of Dadiangas University ("NDDU", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our students, parents, and academic personnel.

This Privacy Policy applies strictly to the collection and processing of data through the NDDU Academic Performance Monitoring and Parent-Teacher-Student Communication System (APMPCS) Facebook Application and Messenger integration. The application facilitates official communication and academic monitoring between students and instructors.

When you interact with the NDDU APMPCS application via Facebook Messenger, we process only the minimum necessary data required for academic verification and communication:

• Facebook Profile Details: Basic public profile information (such as your Name, Facebook User ID, and Profile Picture) used strictly to verify your identity against official NDDU student or faculty records.
• Messenger Content & Metadata: Message contents, timestamps, and delivery statuses generated when communicating with teachers, academic advisers, or students through the APMPCS Messenger integration.
• Academic Identifiers: Student ID numbers or course enrollment data provided during account linking to map your Facebook Messenger profile to your official academic profile.

All collected data is used solely for internal academic and administrative purposes within Notre Dame of Dadiangas University. Specifically, data is used to:

• Authenticate students, parents, and teachers using the APMPCS platform.
• Facilitate real-time academic inquiries, advising, grade notifications, and performance alerts via Facebook Messenger.
• Maintain official communication logs between students and academic staff for educational, administrative, and auditing purposes.

• No Data Selling or Monetization: We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize any student or user data under any circumstances.
• No Third-Party Sharing: Student data and communication logs will never be shared with external third parties, marketing agencies, or commercial entities.
• Sole Institutional Use: All data is restricted exclusively to authorized NDDU academic personnel and system administrators strictly on a need-to-know basis.

We implement appropriate technical, organizational, and physical security measures to safeguard user data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

Retention: Messages and profile data are retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill academic monitoring purposes or as required by institutional record-keeping policies and applicable Philippine regulations (Data Privacy Act of 2012 / R.A. 10173).

User Rights & Data Deletion: Users have the right to request access to, correction of, or complete deletion of their linked Facebook account data. To request account unlinking or data removal, please contact the APMPCS Administration team.
